PCI to help recruitment of pharmacy students

MUMBAI: The president of Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Dr B Suresh, has announced that the council will soon assist pharmacy students in their recruitment process by providing them Pharm D Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) certification.
Similar to the ACPE recognition provided to pharmacy students by US, this ACPE certification to be provided by the PCI will help Indian pharmacy students to find a job of qualified pharmacist in any country of the world. Once provided with this unique certification, Indian students will be eligible to work as a certified pharmacist in countries like UK and US.
Dr B Suresh has announced these plans while addressing a national workshop at Acharya B M Reddy College of Pharmacy in Bangalore. This interactive event was organised by Peenya branch of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA). Dr B Suresh has said that the PCI will also organise a seminar cum recruitment session for the pharmacy students to be awarded with ACPE certification in 2011. This seminar will be organised by PCI on April 9, 2011.
